The new year has kicked off on a great note for the “Ted Lasso” lead and director, Jason Sudeikis. For the second year in a row, Sudeikis has won his second Golden Globe Award for Best Television Actor – Musical/Comedy Series.
since its launch on August 14, 2020, Ted Lasso has captured audience and critics’ attention with its message of kindness, perseverance, and love for biscuits. In just two years, the show and its stars have won several awards and nominations. Some of them are:
- Four awards at the Hollywood Critics Associated Awards, for Best Streaming Series, Comedy; Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy by Jason Sudeikis; Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy by Brett Goldstein; and
Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Series Comdey by Hannah Waddingham - Three Critics Choice Awards for Best Comedy category, Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and Best supporting actress in a comedy series.

Jason Sudeikis bags another Gloden Globe Award for his role in Apple TV+ original comedy “Ted Lasso”
In 2021, Jason Sudeikis has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in the Musical or Comedy category and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his acting in Apple TV+ original comedy series, Ted Lasso.
And the 2022 jury of Golden Globe Awards has also found Sudeikis outstanding in season 2 which has earned him second Gloden Globe for Best Television Actor in Musical/ Comedy Series.

After two very successful seasons, Apple TV+ has renewed the show for a third season.
“It has broken audience records for Apple TV+, ranking as the No. 1 comedy each week, drawing 25% new viewers to the service since its August 14 launch. according to the streamer. The pop culture phenom has grown its viewership more than 600%, fueled by binge watchers, setting new records for completion and engagement worldwide.”
