The all-new “Apple Developer Center” welcomed its first set of visitors just hours before the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference 2022. The new center located near Apple Park, Cupertino, California is dedicated to the developers’ community to meet, collaborate, and learn from Apple’s designers, engineers, and experts.
The itinerary shared with the in-person attendees of WWDC 2022 lists the “Apple Developer Center” open house as the first activity right after check-in, starting at 7 a.m. Visitors were also allowed to book a special tour of Apple Park Hills, Fitness Center Area, or Caffe Macs.
The new “Apple Developer Center” is a world-class facility with labs, pods, theater, and more
Like many developers, @Paul Hudson from Hacking with Swift toured the first floor of the Apple Developer Center and shared pictures of the new world-class facility on Twitter. The new center has pods, briefing rooms, lab areas, a state-of-the-art studio, and much more.
The visitors are greeted with coffee and donuts from Caffe Mac and hospitable guides. Interestingly, the meeting rooms are named after older macOS versions like El Capitan, Panther, Tiger, and Leopard. Hudson characterizes the rooms packed with technology as the “Apple Store just for developers”.
The new Big Sur theater in the new Apple Developer Center is a state-of-the-art auditorium with the capacity to host a large crowd and hold events in WWDC Keynote style. And to make the visit more fun, the company included Easter eggs to unlock classic devices throughout the building and gave out WWDC 2022 merch.
