Apple has updated the Apple TV video player with a new “Up Next” queue feature in the first developer beta of tvOS 15.4. On Jan 27, 2022, the company released tvOS 15.3 for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K models to the public with Siri voice recognition support in English (India) and Italian (Italy) and performance and stability improvements.

In tvOS 15, the Apple TV video player received a few design upgrades like larger title font of the currently played TV show or movie, an info button to show description of the watched episode or movie, and relocated setting menu on the progress bar via Speech and Audio settings icons. And in the company has again changed the video player UI in the latest tvOS 15.4 beta update.
Currently, when users pause or swipe up on the Siri Remote on the “Now Playing” screen, the Apple TV’s video play displays the watched title’s details. In tvOS 15.4, the video player will also show the “Up Next” queue, so users can select the episode or movie they added to the Up Next queue directly from the “Now Playing” screen.
The new feature will reduce a few extra steps for Apple TV users have to play Up Next content. For now, they have to go back to the Apple TV app’s main UI to access the “Up Next” section and select the new episode or movie.
Along with tvOS 15.4 beta, Apple also seeded the first betas of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, and macOS 12.3 with several new features and improvements. Most importantly, iPadOS 15.4 and macOS 12.3 betas added the highly anticipated Universal Control feature which allows both devices to be controlled by a single keyboard and mouse.
