Apple has just unveiled its latest developer beta releases across its ecosystem, delivering a comprehensive update that spans iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, visionOS 2.4, tvOS 18.4, and watchOS 11.4. These beta updates are now available for registered developers via the Settings app.
The spotlight is firmly on the visionOS 2.4 update, which introduces Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro for the very first time. This integration includes innovative features such as Writing Tools, Genmoji, Memory Movie, Image Playground, Priority Notifications, and even ChatGPT integration, all aimed at enhancing the immersive capabilities of the Vision Pro. In addition, the new beta brings a dedicated Spatial Gallery app, offering a curated collection of spatial videos, photos, and panoramas from talented artists, filmmakers, and photographers, while also integrating a Vision Pro management app on the iPhone that simplifies app discovery, watch list management, and device pairing.
Simultaneously, the Apple TV app on tvOS 18.4 has received a series of subtle yet impactful enhancements. Users will now find an improved user interface with a newly introduced plus button on the featured title carousel, which facilitates adding content directly to a Watchlist. Updated iconography and clear indicators for new episode releases further streamline the viewing experience. Although some anticipated features such as additional screensaver options and robot vacuum support are still under wraps, these incremental updates demonstrate Apple’s larger goal of improving the Apple TV experience with each beta cycle.
In parallel, watchOS 11.4 beta 3 brings a modest but welcome update with the addition of new emojis, expanding the expressive capabilities of Apple Watch users. While Apple continues to roll out subtle refinements on watchOS, improvements to Siri remain evident even as the platform does not yet receive Apple Intelligence features.
The latest round of updates highlights Apple’s methodical approach to beta testing, ensuring that each operating system—from watchOS to visionOS—receives careful refinements before its public release. As developers test these features and provide feedback, Apple continues to fine-tune key details, paving the way for a more polished and seamless user experience across its ecosystem.
