Twitter is working on a new subscription called ‘Twitter Blue’ which will allow users to utilize features like undo tweets and create collections of their favorite tweets.
Twitter Blue subscription is coming soon
It has long been rumored that Twitter is going to introduce subscriptions as a new revenue source and reduce its dependency on ads revenue. As discovered by Jane Machun Wong, popularly known for reverse engineering various social media apps, Twitter Blue will be priced at $2.99 per month. Subscribers will gain access to exclusive features such as the much-awaited undo feature which will show a progress bar to undo tweets. Users will be able to change the interval for this progress bar. This will be similar to the undo send email option in Gmail. However, users will still be unable to edit sent tweets.

Twitter Blue will also feature a new Collections feature which will let users save and organize tweets. The bookmarking feature will also support folders for in-depth organization. The feature, as per Jane’s tweets, looks a lot like Instagram’s collections feature, which is available for free.
Twitter is calling their upcoming Subscription Service “Twitter Blue”, priced at $2.99/month for now, including paid features like:

Jane also shared that Twitter is working on a tiered subscription pricing model, with higher-priced tiers offering more features. One example of such a feature could be a clutter-free news reading experience, which might be why the company recently acquired Scroll.

It is unclear when Twitter will officially announce Twitter Blue or start testing it with users. However, it is clear that the company will have to add more lucrative features to convince users to pay on a monthly basis in a time when everyone is suffering from subscription fatigue since most popular apps and services require mohtly payments now.
