Apple gave eager white iPhone 4 customers hope for some time that they would ship it by the end of July but then they announced on 23rd July that it wont ship until the end of this year because of manufacturing issues. UK is a big market for iPhone, so Orange, a UK carrier has just reminded their customers by emailing them that they should not except the arrival of the white iPhone 4 before the end of this year.
We wanted to let you know that there won’t be any white iPhone 4’s in the UK until the end of the year.
If you’re happy to wait another few months we’ll let you know as soon as they’re back in stock. want an iPhone 4 now?
Alternatively, if you want it now, click here or visit your local Orange shop to get the iPhone 4 Black 16GB or 32GB today. Best wishes
Orange
Orange has not mentioned whether they have received any official word about the white iPhone 4 from Apple. Orange probably just wanted to remind those customers who were waiting for iPhone 4 and tell them that they have to wait a lo more to get their hands on one.
Even if Apple is able to solve whatever the manufacturing issue of white iPhone 4 is, its quantity would be a question. Like always, it would first launch in US and than in other countries so Orange must have some inside information about its supplies. If there is even a little further delay, the full international launch of white model could cross the first quarter of next year.
Apple never revealed the reason of delay. They only mentioned that the manufacturing issue is causing the delays. Sources claim that these delays are because they are having problems with the non-uniform application of the white paint which causes light leaks from the device’s backlight through its back and at seams.
