According to the iPhone-Dev Team, their famous software unlock, Ultrasn0w, will be updated for use on iOS 4.3.1 tonight. This unlock does not work on any new basebands, it is simply an update for use on 4.3.1.
The main purpose behind the update is 4.3.1 compatibility and to fix bugs, such as the signal bar issue.
4.3.1-compat ultrasn0w update for *current unlockers* is out to external testers. Barring any hiccups, release is tonight
In fact, the iPhone-Dev Team is not working towards unlocking 5.14+, but rather towards downgrading from 6.15.00 (iPad baseband) to 5.13.
for those at 05.14, 05.15 or 05.16 I really don’t see an unlock coming. Rather, it’ll be: update to 06.15, then down to 05.13
(because the downgrade from 06.15 goal is much higher priority than explicit 05.14, 05.15, or 05.16 unlock. Achieves same.)
We’ll be sure to let you know once the Ultrasn0w upgrade is available later tonight.
