The much hyped Verizon iPhone 4 has been official announced today and will soon be available for pre order. The CDMA Apple iPhone 4 will be available at Verizon on February 10th. It was strongly rumored to be a 4G LTE iPhone 4 but it eventually turns out to be a non-LTE CDMA version. The existing Verizon customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 4 on Feburary 3rd for $199 for the16GB model (on a two year agreement) and $299 for the 32GB version. New customers however won’t be able to order it before February 10th. It is important to note that unlike AT&T version, the Verizon iPhone 4 has no GSM roaming and is a 3G (EV-DO) only handset.
At first look, the two devices appear almost identical, though a closer look reveals minor changes. It is important to note that the Verizon iPhone is running iOS 4.2.5 with a new mobile hotspot option in settings which would allow the Verizon iPhone 4 to act as a WiFi hotspot for up to five devices.
