Google I/O 2015 is taking place today at Mascone Center West, San Francisco, California, in about a few moments. Google is expected to announce the next Android update along with other products and platform announcements. Google I/O alway has some amazing announcements and is full of innovations to watch out for.
Sundar Pichai is going to be kicking off the event with a Keynote. In case you don’t know, Sundar Pichai is the Senior Vice-President of Products at Google and heads Android, Chrome and Google Apps products. He had previously replaced replaced Andy Rubin to oversee Android, before coming into this role comprising of multiple products.
It would be interesting to see what Google has in store for us today. I’m hoping for announcements ranging from Android M, Android Wear, Google Glass to web based products such as Google Photos and even Chrome OS. Cross platform integration between Google’s products might be a popular feature, considering that Apple and Microsoft are knee deep into that area. How Android and Chrome OS work together might be interesting to see.
As always, the event is being streamed live on Youtube and the keynote starts at 9am. Check out the full video stream below.
