Watch One World concert on Apple Music app on Mac and iOS

Apple Music subscribers can watch the upcoming virtual concert ‘One World: Together At Home’ on the app. The global virtual entertainment event is organized by Global Citizens Foundation and World Health Organization to unite people in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic by showing gratitude for the selfless work of healthcare providers around the world and more importantly to raise funds to for financial assistance of health authorities and severely affected victims by this health crisis. It will be telecast live on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT.

In the Browse section of the Music app, the One World concert is categorized as a special event. Click on the concert’s display tile to access complete details of the event like artists involved and additional features like playlists, interviews and more. Apple has released an exclusive trailer to encourage people to come together in this hour of need for frontline warriors and medical staff, in fight against coronavirus and to express solidarity with each other by staying at home and staying safe for the survival of humanity. There will be performances and appearances by music industries legends and current favorites like Elton John, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Billie Eilish, and Shawn Mendes.

There is a lot more available for subscribers for this special event’s section including exclusive FaceTime chats, interviews, video and audio playlists of the performing artists, and a family section with playlists for the whole family and kids.

Under the banner, subscribers can read the event’s purpose statement by Apple. There is a link to the organizer’s website so viewers can learn about the Global Citizen Foundation’s  mission, purpose behind the event and plans for the future. Curated by Lady Gage, the Global Citizen Foundation has already raised $35 million for COVID-19 relief efforts. Lady Gaga said in a statment:

It is so important to think globally and support the World Health Organization to curb the pandemic and prevent future outbreaks. We want to highlight the gravity of this historical, unprecedented, and cultural movement.

The event can be viewed on Apple Music app on all devices, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV and Mac. It was assumed that the live streaming of the OneWorld concert will be free but it seems to be available only for Apple Music subscribers.
