Apple releases fifth watchOS 2.2 beta for developers

Apple has released WatchOS 2.2 beta 5 to developers. The new update, build 13V5141a, includes a minor tweak to Apple maps along with the usual bug fixes and stability improvements.

watchOS 2.2 only has one noticeable improvement, which is to the built in Apple Maps app. It now has a redesigned app and glance.

To download WatchOS 2.2 beta on your Apple Watch, you must be registered with Apple Developer Program. Installation requires that you must download the watchOS 2.2 beta Configuration Profile, iOS 9.3 SDK beta, and iOS 9.3 beta. Your iPhone must also be running iOS 9.3 beta to be able to update Make sure to install iOS 9.3 beta on your iPhone before updating to watchOS 2.2 beta.

Although not a part of watchOS 2.2 beta, iOS 9.3 beta 5 fixes an issue where notifications would not deliver always to the Apple Watch.

Apple has also released the fifth betas of OS X 10.11.4, iOS 9.3 and tvOS 9.2 today.
