Apple TV+ drops trailer for ‘WeCrashed’, starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway

Apple TV+ today released a trailer for its upcoming limited series ‘WeCrashed’, which is based on the six-part podcast series “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.”. Starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, the series is set to debut on March 18, 2021.

The limited series will showcase eight episodes that will take views along the history of the infamous start-up, WeWork, and its fall. Leto will play WeWork founder Adam Neumann, with Hathaway set to play his wife and co-founder Rebekah Newmann. Kyle Marvin, America Ferrera, and O-T Fagbenle are also part of the cast.

At one point in time, WeWork had an estimated value of $47 billion, before it collapsed almost overnight. Neumann served as the company’s CEO from 2010 through 2019, before being pressured into resigning due to his “eccentric behavior”.

Creators by Drew Crevello and Lee Eisenberg, Eisenberg who has an overall deal with Apple will also co-write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner. The This Is Us duo, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, will execute and direct the production.

The first three installments of the series will premiere globally on March 18 followed by weekly releases each Friday up to April 22. To watch WeCrashed when it debuts, viewers will need a subscription to Apple’s streaming service. For $4.99 per month, Apple TV+ is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV via the Apple TV app.
