WhatsApp on the web is being updated with a built-in Sticker Maker which allows users to turn images into minor art projects. Directly from the computer, users on the web version of the app can edit photos, turn them into stickers and share them with their friends and family.
Recently, the company added support for end-to-end encryption for chat history saved on the cloud and allows iPhone users to transfer their chat history to Android 12 smartphones. It is also discovered that WhatsApp is developing several new features on the platform like new playback speed control for forwarded audio messages, updated PiP mode with a new control bar on iOS, ability to pause a recorded message and continue later, and more importantly, multi-device support on iOS and Android.
Users can now create and share stickers on WhatsApp’s web version
Several third-party apps, allow users to create their own stickers on WhatsApp but the app did not support it natively. Starting with its web version, the company has introduced a built-in Sticker Marker to make users interactions more expressive and fun. To get started, follow these steps:
- Simply click on the paperclip icon > select Sticker from the menu > click on the photo they want to upload.
- Then edit the uploaded image with emoji, text, and layer more stickers to create a perfect sticker.
- Users can also cut out the background by drawing around the selected image and crop.
As per the report, this feature will also be released on the Desktop version of the app next week.
