Check Out This iPad That Runs Android 2.2 Froyo [Video]

Just when we thought that the things coming from the streets of China couldn’t get any better (or worse), here comes the new ‘nameless’ iPad like tablet, right from the sleek aluminum case to the exact same 9.7-inch display found in the original Apple iPad. This clone is for sure no cheap copy as it carries powerful enough hardware under the hood to run Android 2.2 Froyo. It runs an 800MHz Freescale iMX515 chip (based on the Cortex-A8 architecture) and has 512MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage.

Of course, it doesn’t have the Apple logo on its back but thats not it. Its actually nothing quite like the iPad apart from its very close looks (check out the images below). Instead of running iOS, this iPad clone runs Android 2.2 Froyo. Though this means it can also run Flash which is a big plus.

As of now, there is no info on whether or when we’ll be able to find this cool iPad clone outside China. However, if you do want to get an iPad sometime and you can’t afford the real thing from Apple, you can just wait for this no-name iPad clone to show up in the market and grab one for yourself, most likely for a fraction of the original iPad price.
