According to a post shared on Weibo by the Japanese blog Mac Otakara, Apple is planning to introduce yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models this spring. However, there is no independent confirmation that the Weibo account has a proven track record.
[Update: Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman confirmed the arrival of the new color but did not mention which color. In his latest Tweet, he said that a year after launching the Alpine Green color for iPhone 13 series, Apple was going to introduce a new color for iPhone 14.
As Alpine Green iPhone 13 models launched on March 9, it is likely that the new iPhone 14 color launches this week.]
Nearly a year to the day after the announcement of the green iPhone 13, a new iPhone 14 color is indeed imminent.

Yellow iPhone 14 colorway to be introduced for the lineup soon
Multiple sources have informed MacRumors that Apple’s PR team is planning a product briefing for next week. It is possible that the briefing could be related to a new iPhone color being announced, as Apple had previously announced new Green color for the iPhone 13 series on March 8 last year. However, the subject of the briefing has not been determined yet.
To boost sales midway through the product cycle, Apple often adds new iPhone colors in the spring. In March of last year, Apple introduced a new Green color for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, as well as a new Alpine Green color for the iPhone 13 Pro models. In April of 2021, Apple made the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini available in Purple.
The last time Apple offered a yellow color option for the iPhone was in 2019 for the iPhone 11 and in 2018 for the iPhone XR. It remains unclear if Apple is planning to introduce yellow iPhone 14 Pro models, as they may look similar to the existing Gold option for those devices.
The addition of a new color option could potentially attract new customers who may have been waiting for a unique and vibrant color to be available. Furthermore, a new iPhone 14 colorway could help to differentiate it from previous models, encouraging existing customers to upgrade to the latest iteration.
Apple’s decision to introduce new colors for their devices is not a new strategy. The company has previously submitted a range of new color options for various products, including the Apple Watch and iPad. These additions have helped to keep the products fresh and relevant, attracting new customers and retaining existing ones.
It is worth noting that the information regarding the availability of the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus remains unconfirmed. However, if the rumors turn out to be accurate, it will be interesting to see how consumers react to the new color option and whether it will significantly impact sales – especially for the iPhone 14 Plus.
